Summoned For Jury Duty......So The Fuck What

I just received a summons to appear for Jury Duty at 9 a.m. on Friday, November 16. I was informed that upon obtaining this summons I am to call the court house to verify and confirm my home addresse as well as my work and home phone numbers. The letter never made it out of the post office. I threw that shit away.

I'm not calling anyone at the court house. Simply put, I am not going. They say that I will be paid $30.00 for the day. I say...."So what....a carton of cigarrettes cost roughly that."
Now Mark, I know that you may read this and I will discuss this matter with you when you get home....but my mind is set.

Here's my reasoning. As a gay male, I have absolutely NO laws that protect me nor my well being. That in return tells me that the "Law" considers my life, utterly worthless. If by some chance, i am found murdered. The first thing that will be said is "Well.....he was a known homosexual...probably just a lovers quarrell" and my case would be filed in the very back of all paperwork. So, there ain't no way in hell I am going to go and perform what others clarrify as a "Civic Duty" when I, as an American, first and foremost am denied basic human rights.

I know....they may come to my house and arrest me right? Well i say..."look up in the sky...it's a bird, it's a plane.....no wait...there went my GIVE A FUCK".
