By now, everyone probably knows that I am one of the most sentimental, reminiscent people that exist. In an amazing way I tend to remember most details of particular events that has occured in my past that many tend to forget. Sometimes those memories can be of great joy and often times, great pain.

This particular event/memory is not themed with sorrow it happens to be a happy memory. As a kid, I remember getting up early on sunday mornings for church. My grandfather always got up early every morning, and I knew that when I entered into the kitchen, I would find him sitting in front of the woodstove smoking a *WINSTON cigarette, radio tuned into the bluegrass country music station and coffee in hand. He would smile and say "Good morning Doodle-bug", pat my head and I would venture into the family room to watch one of my favorite sunday morning programs............"DAVEY & GOLIATH."

I loved this show. Though only thirty minutes long, Davey, Goliath, His sister Sally and their parents went on adventures or had circumstances that arose that instilled christian values and morals that comforted me. I can remember sometimes, as a kid, dilemmas would come my way where I would have to make a decision and I would pause for a moment and ask myself....."What would Davey do? What would GOD want me to do?

Now, this great, Lutheran produced classic is availiable on DVD format. of course, I am not even bidding on e-bay, instead I go directly to the "Buy Now" section of $19.95 and simply purchase it. My nephew and my neice have become addicted to this program and that is great. There just aren't shows on television anymore where children can enjoy the program AND parents don't have to fear if their children are being taught/learning unhealthy lessons/habits.
