Poor Courtney



It seems that Courtney Love is once again in trouble with the law for possession of prescription pain killers. Apparently, her drugs of choice were/are Oxycodone (Oxycontin) and Hydrocodone (Vicodin). Musically, I do not find her inspiring or forsee her making a lasting impression on rock music in general. Simply put, she will always simply be known as Kurt Cobains wife. Never a Janis Joplin.

I do however feel sorry for her. Her addiction is something I know all to well. Vicodin was my major downfall. I only tried Oxycontin a few times, The highest strength being 40mg. It did give me a high for a bit of time after ingesting it, but then soon afterwards it made me want to do nothing but sleep. Which would seem more likely her excuse for not appearing in court as ordered, rather than going on Howard Stern and stating her reason for not showing up was because of "Not having a bodyguard"....Sorry, Courtney....just ain't gonna buy that excuse.

Now, many who have been oxycontin adddicts claim that the best high from the drug is not simply swallowing it. It gives a more high when crushed and snorted....it is also the most dangerous way of consumption. Snort an Oxy and have a massive MI soon afterwards. Russian Roulette.
The trouble with Hyrdoconde addiction is that after years of abuse it does cause permanent heart problems. My only problem from it is all a heart murmur. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Wise up Courtney. Musically, I think your fifteen minutes of fame are up....BUT I do think you can salvage your acting career.
