I have awoken today with a major summer cold. Stuffy head, scratchy throat and sneezing. No fever. Just Miserable. I blame myself for living in constant air conditioning and walking back and forth outside into the humidity.
It's raining here today. I soooo love the rain. Especially summer rain. The warmth and tranquility of it always inspires and moves me. Ridiculous really. I guess I am just an Old Soul of sorts.
In regards to Mark's and I forthcoming ceremony next month, I now have ALL the catering plans finalized. Music/d.j. all set too. I am so excited that my baby sister is going to be able to come from Mississippi to attend. Our day would not be complete without her. She begins where i end. Her and I have a very special connection. She is 21 years old now and i STILL feel responsible for her. LOL. I guess, as a bigh brother i always will.
Also, in a few days will be a milestone for me. Nearly 7 months sobriety from drugs. I can't believe it really. It doesnt feel like that long ago really. I will have to cook us a special dinner for that night. Re' any ideas on what to have?
I have been listening to 10,000 Maniacs classic album "OUR TIME IN EDEN" for most of yesterday and today. I LOVE this cd. How can you not enjoy Natalie Merchant's soothing voice. Quite fitting for todays rainy weather and darkness. GOOD darkness though.
