Charly McClain

Another favorite C & W artist from the era of my childhood is Charly McClain.
Charly had so many hits it would be entirely to time consuming to type them all here. Charly's biggest hits were with her usual duo partner of that era, Mickey Gilley , namely their duet Paradise Tonight . In the late 1980's, Charly disappeared from the music scene.Charly married soap opera (OLTL) actor,Wayne Massey and they recorded one album together slightly before she abruptly left the business. She had cross over success in some acting during her run of fame, appearing in an episode of the 80's Cops on Bikes television show, *CHIPS and a commercial for LUCKS Beans , which I do actually remember. As she spoke the background music was her then hit Radio Heart .
Country artist Alan Jackson covered Charly's 1980's # 1 hit Who's Cheating Who and The Dixie Chicks covered her song Loving Arms on their Wide Open Spaces release.
Charly McClain was beautiful, talented and actually sang Country Music. Never dwelving into the waters of Pop Music or cross over territory. A true gem.
